We arrive and register in Blackheath at lunchtime before setting off for Dover to catch the ferry to Calais.
The route will be marshalled and drinks, food, snacks and cycle support will be provided.
After leaving London, the roads are quieter and we soon cycle through countryside and small villages with a long run down into Dover to catch the late ferry.
On reaching Calais we are off again with food and rest stops along the way, going through Arras and Compiegne before reaching the outskirts of Paris and seeing the River Seine.
We follow the river for a few miles before turning off into Paris and the Eiffel Tower awaits. After photographs at the tower, we head to our hotel nearby for a celebration meal.
The route is hilly in places so a degree of fitness is required to cycle to Paris and in 24 hours.
Next day we head to the station after breakfast to catch the Eurostar back to St Pancras to be reunited with your bike.
A cycle helmet is compulsory on this event. We do not cary any cycle helmets so you must ensure you bring one with you.
There is a minimum of 20 participants for this event.
A mixture of ‘A’ and ‘B’ roads but as far as is practically possible we will use the quieter and less congested roads. In France, many of the roads are quiet one track roads with little or no traffic.
