Kilimanjaro Trek

Lemosho Route

The Challenge

This route is described as the most scenic of the routes to the summit and gives you the best chance to reach the summit due to the walking time ascending, giving you more time to acclimatise on the trek. It also affords you the best chance of seeing more animals on this trek than the other routes. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity to reach the roof of the African continent, the highest free-standing mountain in the world.

The trek consists of 8 days walking with one day on arrival in Moshi in a hotel then 1 day to wind down and see the immediate area and town of Moshi in Tanzania at the end. The trip is 11 days plus the flights.

Total cost for 2020 is £2,599 with the initial deposit £448 leaving a balance of £2,151 eight weeks before the event (2020).

Similar trips with other companies costs around £3000 upwards. Due to fuel costs rising, the airlines sometimes charge a fuel supplement. In common with all similar companies, in the unlikely event that there is a fuel cost supplement charged by the airline, you must pay this.

This trip is a lot cheaper than virtually all companies due to direct personal service and sourcing of established local companies and qualified guides in Kilimanjaro area.
