The Yorkshire coastal path is an excellent walk in 8 sections, starting from Redcar to Spurn Point. We cover the longest section which is 20 miles and takes approximately 8-9 hours.
Leaving Whitby we walk along undulating cliffs on part of the Cleveland Way and pass through Robin Hoods Bay and Ravenscar on our trek.
The views from the cliff tops are excellent as we pass old ironstone and alum workings on route.
On route we stop for 2 breaks where snacks and drinks will be provided.
We finish near the Sea Life Centre in Scarborough where a hot meal will be provided and transport to return you to Whitby.
Generally fairly flat but slightly undulating in parts and includes three steep climbs between Robin Hood’s Bay and Scarborough.
It is an excellent walk on grass and small stone paths with superb views of the coastline.
