York Circular Marathon Walk

The Challenge

Starting at Rawcliffe Bar park & ride in York, we walk in a clockwise direction around the City of York. There will be two refreshment stops on the route and it will have marshals throughout and support vehicles to pick you up if you have to stop walking.  The course of 21 miles is virtually flat so good progress can be made when walking the tracks and paths.

Starting at 8am on the Sunday, the walk time allowed is

10¼ hours and during the day, a hot meal and drinks will be provided for all walkers as well as another snack/drinks stop on route.

Pavement and a small amount of road walking in some areas/villages but mainly paths/cycle tracks for most of the route. Participants encouraged to wear a luminous jacket, and wearing of trainers is appropriate for this event unless the weather is bad the 2 days before the event in which case boots are recommended.

Charities around Yorkshire are invited to send walkers to take park in this large scale event. Full support is provided on this 21 mile walk. Come and walk for your charity, sign up now only £20.

You must pre-register for planning, safety and catering purposes.
